TIME AS THIEF OF MEMORIES

Time is a thief that steals memories away,
But in my case, brings back good memories of you.
I wake to thoughts that trigger bits of your nuances,
Sometimes it's the leaning or the head tilts exposing the neck, The eyes roll, twist the mouth in a hiss, endless.
So, if I had to relive the brief time we had, including the last day,
What would I change? Nothing...perhaps hold you tighter, kiss you longer
And cherish every moment we shared.
Time is fleeting, and memories fade,
But the time we shared stays sweetened.
It lives on in my heart, alive and always,
A beacon of hope that promises a someday, of a perhaps.
