Advise On Self-Development; #Mind Your Language:

So, why do you need to mind your language? Do you know how it is that things you say can have an impact on people around you as well as your wellbeing and growth? Have you seriously given thoughts to the fact that the language you use in your social life is very, very crucial in building or destroying your relationship, on occasion irreparably? Often, we do not give deep thoughts to the implications of what we say to others and their impact. We would not see in most circumstances that our language is a part instance of the overall production of meanings in our social relationship. But they are and crucial and critical aspects of our relationship. The use of language is much more than a matter of employment either when it is applied in talk or writing per se. The use of language can build or chisel the foundational blocks of any and every relationship. And, that use as part of the discussion is what I intend to analyze here as discourse. So, as a basic statement of meaning, what is disc

The Date; July 29th 1975 In Nigeria History

Today, 45 years ago, 29th of July 1975 was a coup that ousted one of many Generals (rank not earned by the years in military service, exceptional deeds, striking, celebrated intelligent world-wide military strategic contributions or valour in battle) who acted as Heads of States in Nigeria. He was representing the country in Kampala, Uganda's national and commercial capital. This video 👇🏾 is the moment he was given the news. July, the 29th will remain another one sad day in the history of outsiders using illiterate and semi-illiterate nonentities to disrupt political rulings in Nigeria and turned out as shaping pattern of the continued chaotic, purposeless, derange, rampageous, tumultuous, based, racket ridden, racket up, unprincipled, venal militarisation period in Nigeria’s history up to 1979.  The independence Nigeria was handed was bound to be problematic. However, it'd have adjusted by itself; and, would have formed the foundation of the Nigeria democratic progression

Lessons In Self-Development; Overcoming Negative Thoughts:

When I was in England, once in awhile someone would ask, “Where are you from?” At first, it was not strange because such a question back in Nigeria was meant to know what tribe or region one belongs. Mainly, I think, to have one drawn nearer in companionship. Though, clearly, it was not so for every Nigerians, particularly when it concerns employment and distribution of wealth. Still, it was and is obvious why I often am asked, I believe it is because I speak different Nigerian major languages and cannot easily be pinned to a particular region or tribe.   Once, there was a robbery where I worked and as I captured the three white youths on one of my cameras, rather than call my colleague, a Burmese security guard who spoke little English to chase them away, I went after them. Frankly, it was not to prevent them from stealing anything, I was so angry, I intended catching, at least, one and knocking him silly. They all ran away before I caught any. The next day, when the police arrived, w

O God, this is a prayer of a grateful  💖   Your name forever be praised.  For your miracle again, has manifested Pastor Julius-PJ you gave us few years back His heart, future and whole we rededicated,  But years on he wandered; we wondered, “ifs” Questions tumbled to what panaceas to turn. Today, in thanksgiving angel Uju sings by him For, by your grace they found each other; and, By your mercy what restless wind and storms There were you have cast out of his as her life. Thank you for your mercy that has seen him Protected and shielded from all the darkness And turmoil that has consumed his generation. Your blessing that has seen him exemplary; as  Leading light followers of Christ in Ataga home I pray your baptism remain rooted in his abode  The Ataga homes and of all extended families; by Marriage, by assemblage in the name of Jesus. Simplicity sings as sound the loudest To eyes seeing intelligently laden words Heavy as tedious entangled barbed-wire They are like ruminant ever chewing gum,  Sickened and repulsed by words seen as Unfathomable. Filled they are with frump. Waddling in the mud they always seemed In mortal fear of poured hearts on papers Like words to rage at, not sun of wisdom Simplicity has long consigned their fate to Seeing any complex properly penned poem a Swamp: to tax their brain walk damn hard past

Lessons In Self-Development: Selling Your Self:

There have been major shifts and changes in the social and economic landscape world over in the past four months. People everywhere have been constrained by emotional, business, financial, and psychological challenges; besieged and bedevilled by multi-faceted crisis ushered in by the mysterious and vicious virus nicknamed, COVID-19. The virus has profoundly attacked every class and aspects of our lives-be it in the killing of our fellow brothers, and sisters sent to early graves in droves. Or, the quavering of our political institutions, driving our political high-flyer players into shivers, anxieties, like ants in pants, meekness and modesty, unprecedented and dealing shock waves, commotion, and turmoil to our economic pockets, purses, or wherever you hide your monies as well as tossing and tumbling our social, cultural, and educational structures back and forth by decades. Covid-19, has turned out, a master misery courier that charts and follows its own course, respects neither the h

addiction:

What is the driving force, why sometimes, the clamour  Perhaps may just have started like a joke; then again  Poverty, anxiety and fear creeps on you on unknowing wee hours  And, when it becomes excruciating, there, rooted, is the rhizome  Mine started: like the vanilla milk shake; I was attracted  The sweeteners; the honey, the fat, I savoured  The aroma, powerful; I was inundated, pursued, harangued  And then, like one on a tenterhook, to the ravenous, I yielded  Then follows the presentment, I was handed my gift,  Like the nitwit's entrusted, a carefully crafted magical sopranino  That is when the very diligently choreographed, subtly sorted intervention sets off  My brain needy sensor systematically, simply, superbly, addictively, astutely, elevated  And in such dopey, opaque state, I stopped articulating, being reasonable  No longer able to cope; incessantly having a hard time, I was tormented: forming  A fertile ground for the cultivation of the cast away, can't live with

Today’s Changing Tides And Times:

With head void and light  Mind mildly, kindly and feeble  Was I bugged to my wits in queries:  Why raze at will to ground all life forms  Of why such physical loathsome feelings; Such Poisonous passion for destruction  Why the killings of sweet simplicity of nature  Earth flora and fauna lost to lust and gluttony With wars come defoliation, ruin, deforestation In scales that leave no repair room or reverse Leaving no channels for waters to run it’s flow Refusing hills and mountains of ground stance Bringing Being and the wild weird neighbours And ill-health as deaths our exchanging gifts.

Lessons In Self-Development; Reinventing Yourself:

This morning, I confessed to a lady whose husband had gone through some harrowing challenges that, I never knew that she had in her, such strength and staying power to nurse her husband back to health. I called her an incredible, unbelievable and amazing woman. I did all that because I had all along, always felt she was the one needing help. I thought that without her husband, her life would be very challenging, if not impossible for her to move around. And, I really, really feared and felt sorry for her when her darling husband took ill. He has fully recovered now and convalescing when we had our conversation. She told me how in the past four months, she had single handedly cared for all his needs; feeding, bathing, attending to his fecal matter, etc. Don't get me wrong, I am aware the female gender, human and animal, are made by God-mysteriously of unequal strength, patience, perseverance, accommodation, balance, stability, stoicism, reticence, etc. All strength of character most

self-development:

Self development is simply put, taking steps to better yourself. It is an ongoing journey, a process of constant learning; jettisoning what draws you back from moving yourself from where you are to where you want to be, educating yourself or seeking education wherever such can be found. Self-development involves overcoming fear of failure, acquiring the habit of self-confidence, believing that you have what it takes to succeed, ignoring all forms of religiosity, spirituality, ideas, beliefs, thoughts, etc that limit, can derail your ability, determination and desire to make progressive or bring about improvement in your life. In the quest for self-development, you do not let people talk you into believing that you are limited by your environment, circumstances, birth, happenstances, etc. Self-development gives you the opportunity to evaluate your strengths and weaknesses, and to work on overcoming the weaknesses as you strengthen the other. The benefits are that you grow as a person, i
