Like Stooges

Simplicity sings as sound the loudest
To eyes seeing intelligently laden words
Heavy as tedious entangled barbed-wire

They are like ruminant ever chewing gum,
Sickened and repulsed by words seen as
Unfathomable. Filled they are with frump.

Waddling in the mud they always seemed
In mortal fear of poured hearts on papers
Like words to rage at, not sun of wisdom

Simplicity has long consigned their fate to
Seeing any complex properly penned poem a
Swamp: to tax their brain walk damn hard past
