FRIENSHIP BUILT ON SAND

Friendship is an engine making life worthwhile.

A friend to confide in, your troll of banters

Brings hard time and suffering bearable,

Drives pleasures to height of most intensity.

Money and women when pursued in greed

Like bad oil and adulterated fuel applied to engine

Is bound to knock engine as would friendship

That, whether or not best, carries degree of hurts

A hurt so badly: thinking thought of such deed

For truly this girl seen from far a twinkling star

Was my handiwork, my bequests of wrapt gift

Thinking no mountain or valley can touch us

I pray you find gold in the greed of your mount

Above all, I still treasure our decades of friendship
