Simeon shows that to have a virtuous, humane, and progressive society, cheating and malpractices as embodied in the craze for short-cuts, must be eliminated in favour of endeavour based on deep rooted values that encourages and nurtures hard work and resourcefulness.

For me, it is these three reflexive lines in the chapter titled ‘A BETTER YOU.’ It reads;
