TOPIC TODAY: Who is most responsible for the danger: the Tech Companies for not stopping online sexual content posts, the Old Men who seek out young girls, or the Young Girls themselves for posting risky content and seeking relationships online?

SCENE: The outer seating area of the "Work n Play Bar." A man (in his sixties) just left with a girl who looks very young (maybe 19-20).
OLA (Watching them go, shaking his head):
Na waa o. See that? A grandpa with his grandchild maybe leaving here to go straight to hotel room for sex. That is the end result of what's happening online. The internet, TikTok, Face Book, Badoo, etc all these apps - they have made it normal for people to look for kids. They sexualize young girls before they even finish secondary school.
NNE (Sighs, looks annoyed):
Ola, stop blaming social media for old men being predators. That man would have found a young girl in the village market twenty ir fifty years ago. But I agree, the apps make it faster. True. We see the videos. The AI-generated stuff of young girls? It’s dark. It teaches men and boys that minors are just objects for for use. This is a massive safety fail by the big tech companies.
JENNIFER (Holds up her phone, pointing to an article):
Nne is right. The platforms know this. Recent reports show that unsafe content, especially AI videos, circulates widely. The platforms are failing at moderation. Why? Because it drives clicks and attention. They are putting profit over protection of young users. The rule is simple: if you can't protect kids, you shouldn't be letting this content exist.
JIDE (Looking genuinely sad):
It's a sad circle. The young girls go online looking for approval, experimentation, or maybe a 'sugar daddy' to help with bills, or just attention. They see other girls doing it. It feels like relationship seeking, but it quickly becomes habitual. The platforms should be a safe space for socializing, but they've become hookup and commercial sex hunting grounds. Everyone is getting hurt, both the girl and the boy who watches it and thinks it's normal.
AMARA (Tapping the table):
This is a human rights crisis. The core issue is the sexualization of minors. These platforms are helping commit abuse by not blocking the content. They are violating the child's right to safety and dignity. We need laws that make the company leaders, not just the users, face charges when they allow harmful external communities to use their platform to trade, traffic and abuse children. We need legal urgency.
OLA: this question may sound ridiculous but a question that should be asked: So, should the social media platforms be shut down until they can control this dangerous trend, or are the girls themselves too exposed because they are looking for hookups too young?
